Abbey View is approximately 50 miles south of Killarney and 100 miles from the city of Cork. The following map of County Kerry shows all the main towns and locations. Ballinskelligs can be found in the far south western corner.
The best road from Killarney takes you via Killorglin where the world famous Puck Fair is held each July, and via the breathtaking scenery that greets you on leaving Glenbeigh for Cahirciveen. This stretch of road takes you on the mountainside overlooking the vast Dingle Bay.
From Cork, you can either head for Killarney and turn south along the route mentioned above, or you can take an even more spectacular route south along the Cork and Kerry coastline via Kenmare and Sneem.
